Doček, one of the programme arches of the ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ project, was presented within the Local Composers’ Night concert by Nexus Trio band in the Egység Cultural Station.
The audience had a chance to hear the piano trios of Serbian composers Petar Stojanović and Aleksandar Sedlar at the concert, which was implemented within Project 22, which is together represented by the ‘Novi Sad 2021, European Capital of Culture’ Foundation and NEO Festival– non-classical festival of classical music.
The Nexus Trio band consists of Mina Mendelson (violin), Bojana Dimković (piano) and Aleksandar Jakovljević (cello).
The Doček programme arch, which will be held from 31 December to 16 January, 2022, is a unique celebration in Europe: two New Years, two time calculations, two alphabets and two arts, and thus emphasizes the intercultural identity of Novi Sad through cultural heritage and contemporary practice.
