Take a Walk Through 14th Century: Paintings from the History of the Serbian People Until the End of November in Egység

The exhibition entitled ‘Paintings from the History of the Serbian People’ was opened in the Egység Cultural Station on 15 November. While walking through the 14th century, visitors enjoyed the work by Damir Savić, who presented rarely represented motifs in Serbian art in a creative way.

Twenty exhibited paintings, painted in the spirit of former Serbian romanticism, represent an interesting, different presentation of our rich national history, while the opening was attended by actors and actresses from the Association ‘White Eagles’, who, dressed in themed costumes, embellished this evening, bringing closer the style from the period of the Battle of Kosovo to the audience.

The exhibition marks the beginning of the implementation of the project that should be further developed. The project proposal was made by Dr Žarko Dimić, historian and director of the SANU Archives in Sremski Karlovci.

The exhibition will be open until 27 November, every day, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Visit us!
